Creating a single piece requires
both a unique artistic sensibility and a long, dedicated crafting process.

By entrusting my expression to the materials and carefully crafting each piece with precision, I work with the belief that each creation will always speak back to me.

父の師匠、赤地友哉が黒漆で揮毫した額は、今も大切に仕事場にかけてあります。
その意味は技術だけが優れていても良い作品は作れず、作者の気持ちや感性を大切にして物を作らねばならないという意味のようです。
この言葉をいつも心の片隅に持って仕事に向き合っています。

The plaque, inscribed in black lacquer by my father's master, Yuusai Akachi, still hangs in our workshop with great care.
Its message seems to convey that technical skill alone is not enough to create a truly good work; one must also cherish the artist’s heart and sensibility in the act of creation.
I always keep these words in the corner of my mind as I approach my work.
